Filizko Went to LA for Quantum Things

Filizko went to LA for quantum things. :)

I visited UCLA for a quantum workshop, which still sounds a little unreal to write. There was sunshine, palm trees, physics, computer science, too much coffee, and many moments where I quietly thought, “Wait, this is my life now?”

Los Angeles was beautiful, chaotic, bright, and very LA.

UCLA was lovely. The workshop was inspiring! I got to listen, learn, meet people, think about research, and feel once again that I am slowly finding my place in this strange and beautiful field.

Also, yes, I did go to Santa Monica and Venice Beach.

Because even quantum people deserve a little ocean. :)

And not only that: I have now swum on both sides of the Pacific.

Dance dance, baby. :)

P.S. Zlatko tweeted a photo from the workshop, I look so happy and I do not know why! :D https://x.com/zlatko_minev/status/2067037518294573488
